Hello. My name is Karl Mantl; I was born and raised in Austria. In 1984 I immigrated to the United States of America. I had many dreams and wanted to "hit it big" in Los Angeles. In February of 1985 the Lord had a much bigger plan for my life than I ever could imagine. The Lord, by His Sovereign Mercy and Grace has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. This radical change of becoming one of God's chosen instruments transformed my whole understanding of life and its purpose and meaning. At last, my search for why I live and what is my life's purpose and reason was answered. By studying the Bible I learned the chief end of men is to know God, and to serve Him in all His ways.

In 1991 I received, by the providence of God, the second greatest blessing of my life by marrying my long time friend and beloved wife, Melissa. We are thankful to our God by intrusting us with our son Matthew, who has given us added joy and blessings from our God. My family and myself were very active in the ministry of the church. My call for the ministry became evident and under the leadership of the Pastor and Deacons of Bible Baptist church located in St. Louis (Missouri, ed.) I was licensed and sent out with financial support for the Gospel ministry. After experiencing a street ministry and pastoring a small church for four years in Los Angeles I returned to Bible Baptist and attended the Sovereign Grace Bible Seminary. After three years I received my Masters of Biblical Studies degree.

The Lord has opened doors for me and my family to start a new work in Wisconsin. After many months of hard work and the wonderful commitment of God's people I was called to become their pastor for the newly formed Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Ladysmith.

We are praying and believing to be a God-sent blessing to the community and it's people. We will openly share, preach, and evangelize this wonderful forgotten truth of the Bible - the doctrines of God's Grace and it's whole counsel in it's Biblical truth, with no compromise. Believing and seeing that God has a remnant in this wonderful area of the country for His glory, to be served and revealed in this last days of ours. We also pray for personal revival which is much needed in every believers life.

We welcome all who are hungry and thirsty for God's truth that we all may be ready to meet with our King and Saviour, Jesus Christ, having no need of shame but being obedient unto Him our fruits shall be known to all men.
